Working Structure Fire - O'Neals Road

Station 71 was alerted at 11:51 along with Mutual Aid Assistance from Station 87-Seaford and Station-81 Laurel for a working structure fire on O'Neals Road south of Blades. 71 Command responding with Assistant Chief Chad Passwaters arrived on scene to find a modular home fully involved. Chief Earl Chaffinch arrived on scene and assumed Command from 71-18 Chad Passwaters. Assistant Chief Passwaters then took the responsiblities of Operations Officer. Command advised the first arriving unit of the situation. One person was treated and transported to Nanticoke Hospital. Several cats were also rescued and treated on scene and turned over to the SPCA. Additional help was requested from Station 72-Bridgeville and Station 77-Georgetown, along with Station 100-Federalsburg and Station 77-Georgetown provided coverup at Station 71. Units responding were Tanker 71, 71-9, Rescue-71, A-71, B-71,71-8,Tanker 81,81-4,81-2,A-81,Ladder 87, Tanker 87, 87-5,72-9,77-2,Medic 102, FM-17.
